WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR A REBATE?
All customers installing cold-climate Heat Pumps such as wall mounted mini splits systems that go in every room and have individual temperature control or ducted systems that serve as central air conditioning are entitled to a rebate!
HOW DO HEAT PUMPS HELP SAVE MONEY?
Systems we offer in this program often use 30 percent less energy than your 15 year+ old system. The heating technology Is powered by electric as well which means there is no health hazard of gas or oil involved.
This isn't the type of heating technology than gets plugged in the wall like space heaters you would buy online. Both in heating and cooling modes the heat pump use very high tech variable compressors with inverters that precisely control how much heat and ac go into the home depending on the homes need at that time. The variable speed technology alone is a huge money saver.
HOW MUCH MONEY WILL I SAVE ON MY INSTALLATION COST?
That depends on your home and the system you install! But we never surprise you. Every proposal will have a detailed outline of what units are being provided, what the total rebate is, and what the total is after the rebate.
All whole house projects installing Heat Pumps will be credited at least $1,000/ton based on the 17 degree heating value of the system. However, families that are income eligible will be in the Home Comfort Plus Program. Customers that follow these income guidelines will receive a rebate up to $11,750! All whole house projects have an adjusted rate code. The change in billing is done automatically when we file for your rebate and will backdate to the installation date. This results in lower Kw/hr charges and lower bills.
Current tax credits are huge! Speak to your accountant about a $2,000 dollar federal tax credit when installing high efficiency heat pumps.
Customers that install high efficiency furnaces can also contact National Grid to receive a separate credit of $700 in form of a check to your name or credit on you gas bill!
